U.S. Bancorp Employee’s Bid For Disability Rejected

Law360, New York (August 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit has denied the appeal of a former U.S. Bancorp employee, rejecting claims that she had been unfairly denied disability benefits for years.

On Friday, the Eighth Circuit upheld the decision of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, ruling against plaintiff Esther Abdel in the longstanding employment spat.

“Her claim is barred by the statute of limitations, and the judgment of the district court is affirmed,” ruled the court.
