Microsoft Sues John Does For Copying Exams

Law360, New York (August 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to protect its copyright and the validity of its Microsoft Certification Programs, software giant Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday sued the operators of Testking.com, an Internet Web site that helps its customers prepare for the Microsoft Certification Exam.

The defendants offer for sale training materials designed to prepare students to successfully pass the exams. The training materials contain exam questions and answers that are either identical or substantially similar to the copyrighted questions and answers on the MCE, according to court documents.
