Judge Tosses Appeal In Global Power Case

Law360 (February 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A district court judge has upheld a bankruptcy court's decision to overrule a limited objection to the Chapter 11 plan of gas turbine supplier Global Power Equipment Group Inc. filed by a European claimant over exchange rates.

In a decision Jan. 29, Judge Joseph J. Farnan Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware dismissed the appeal filed by Maasvlakte Energie BV over how the exchange rate of currency in its claim would be determined.
