UNESCO Adopts Declaration on Human Genetic Data

Law360, New York (October 17, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Thursday adopted a declaration on human genetic data during the 32nd session of its General Council in Paris.

The declaration seeks to define the ethical principles that should govern the collection, processing, storage and use of human genetic data.
