KV Halts Prenatal, Iron Supplements In 4th Recall

Law360, New York (February 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Issuing its fourth product recall in the past few months, KV Pharmaceutical Co. has called back certain prescription prenatal and iron supplements out of a concern that they were manufactured under subpar conditions.

St. Louis-based KV said Tuesday it was voluntarily recalling dozens of prescription iron supplements and prenatal vitamins because the products may have been made under conditions that did not sufficiently comply with manufacturing practices. The company pulled products made by its Ther-Rx and Ethex units at the wholesale level.
