FDA Drug Directory Dangerously Incomplete: Report

Law360 (August 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A report has found that the Food and Drug Administration’s national drug directory is sorely incomplete because it omits thousands of drugs while including thousands of others that have long gone off the market.

“The failure of firms to list drug products with FDA limits the usefulness of the directory to all who rely on it for timely information about prescription drugs on the market,” said the report, issued this month from the Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of the Inspector General.
