11th Circ. Revives Suit Over Stolen Aircraft Blueprints

Law360 (February 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Reversing a lower court's dismissal, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit has reinstated a suit against West-Hem Aircraft Supplies Inc. accusing it of involvement in a conspiracy to steal confidential blueprints for an aircraft engine made by the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies Corp.

The appeals court ruled Thursday that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida had erred when it dismissed the suit for failure to state a claim. The dismissal was reversed and the case remanded...
