L Catterton Snags $2.75B For Latest PE Fund

By Benjamin Horney (November 23, 2016, 11:30 AM EST) -- Consumer-focused private equity firm L Catterton has closed its latest fund after bringing in $2.75 billion from investors, the firm said Tuesday, with plans to target high-growth, middle-market, consumer companies across North America and Europe.

The fund, called L Catterton Partners VIII LP, was significantly oversubscribed, according to a statement, collecting capital from investors old and new. The fund will commit between $60 million and $500 million per investment, focusing on middle-market consumer companies across North America and Europe that L Catterton believes are poised for growth. Like L Catterton's previous funds, Catterton Partners VIII will target control-oriented investments.
