LifeNet Seeks $17M Interest After 2014 $35M Patent Win

Law360, Los Angeles (November 30, 2016, 9:07 PM EST) -- LifeNet Health asked a Virginia federal judge Wednesday to tack on an additional $17 million in interest to its $35 million damages award from 2014 for LifeCell Corp.’s infringement of a patent related to soft tissue graft products now that the appeals process has been exhausted.

LifeNet wants prejudgment interest of $16.9 million from Jan. 31, 2008, through Nov 20, 2014, and post-judgment interest of $454,511 through Nov. 25, 2016, according to a motion for an award of interest filed Wednesday.
