FCPA Risk Decreases In Russia, Estonia, Report Shows

Law360, New York (December 2, 2016, 9:43 PM EST) -- Doing business in Estonia, and to a lesser extent in Russia, now poses a lower risk of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act liability than two years ago, an anti-bribery group has reported.

Estonia, which was considered low-risk in 2014, shot up to become the third least corruption-prone country in the TRACE International ranking released Thursday. Russia meanwhile earned a moderate risk rating, down from its previous high-risk designation, based largely on a decrease in the amount of red tape businesses face.
