Developer Asks $6M In Model Train Suit Counterclaim

Law360, New York (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A model train hobbyist accused of trying to profit from the sale of open-source software fired back Wednesday with a countersuit seeking $6 million in damages and the dismissal of infringement, fraud and intimidation claims against him.

Matthew Katzer's counterclaim, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, also seeks injunctive relief prohibiting the plaintiff in the case, physicist and model train enthusiast Robert Jacobsen, from using what Katzer says are his copyrighted materials.
