Trump Taps Kasowitz Bankruptcy Atty For Israel Ambassador

By Melissa Daniels (December 15, 2016, 11:11 PM EST) -- President-elect Donald Trump has nominated longtime adviser and bankruptcy litigation pro David Friedman of Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman LLP to serve as U.S. ambassador to Israel, his transition team announced Thursday.

Friedman, one of the founding partners of Kasowitz Benson, has represented Trump in various business matters over the years. Most recently, he advised the Trump campaign on U.S.-Israel relationships, according to the transition team's press release.
