Superfund Changes Introduced In House

Law360, New York (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., has introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives to add amendments to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 that would outline public notification procedures related to the removal of environmental waste.

On Feb. 11, Smith introduced the "National Public Notification Act of Environmental Hazards of 2009" bill, which would amend CERCLA, to outline and enhance notification procedures related to public health hazards.
