SEC Names New Executive Director

Law360, New York (August 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed a veteran of Spanish-language media company Univision Communications Inc. to serve as the agency’s new executive director.

The Commission revealed the hiring news on Wednesday, naming Diego Tomas Ruiz to the SEC’s chief operating officer post.
