Noise-Reducing Headset Infringes Bose Patent: Suit

Law360, New York (February 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bose Corp. has hit Lightspeed Aviation Inc. with a suit alleging that the aviation headset company's noise-reducing headphones for pilots infringe a Bose patent for headphone technology that reduces ambient noise.

On Friday, Bose sued Lightspeed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, alleging the Oregon-based company's Zulu ANR Aviation headset infringes Bose's "High Compliance Headphone Driving" patent.

Bose seeks both a preliminary and permanent injunction against Lightspeed's alleged infringement of Bose's headphone technology, as well as court costs and additional relief....
