TruePosition, Andrew Corp. Settle Lawsuit Over Location Technology

Law360, New York (February 2, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Location solution provider TruePosition settled its patent infringement litigation against rival Andrew Corporation, the companies said Monday.

TruePosition brought suit originally against Allen Telecom, Inc. in the U.S. District Court in Delaware in December 2001, alleging that Allen's Grayson Wireless Division's "Geometrix" cellular telephone location system infringed several of TruePosition's patents. Allen merged with Andrew Corporation while the suit was pending.

Under the terms of the settlement agreement signed over the weekend, Andrew Corporation agreed to pay TruePosition $35 million and issued TruePosition warrants entitling TruePosition...
