11 Fla. Cases Settled In Fen-Phen MDL V. Wyeth

Law360, New York (February 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Plaintiffs in 11 product liability suits originating in the Southern District of Florida have settled with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc., formerly the maker of the diet drug cocktail known as fen-phen, over alleged health problems associated with the drugs.

On Tuesday, a clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where the single-party cases were part of a multidistrict litigation, filed an order dismissing the cases with prejudice and noting that they had been settled.
