Facebook Backs Off Privacy Changes After Outcry

Law360, New York (February 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Facing outrage from users and a threat of legal action, the popular social networking site Facebook on Wednesday revoked changes it had recently made to its terms of service, which some had interpreted as giving the site complete ownership of all content posted on it, even when users delete their accounts.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on the site Wednesday that the company was backing off the changes, at least for the time being.
