Former WR Grace Execs Go To Trial For Conspiracy

Law360, New York (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a criminal case alleging conspiracy to conceal asbestos contamination from the federal government, bankrupt chemical maker W.R. Grace & Co. and seven former employees now face a jury trial.

The long-awaited jury trial began Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana. W.R. Grace and its former employees face criminal charges including conspiracy, willful violation of the Clean Air Act and obstruction of justice.

The former executives could be slapped with five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for their conspiracy...
