NRC Outlines New Reactor Construction Requirements

Law360, New York (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has updated its descriptions of the types of construction activity at nuclear power facilities that require prior agency approval.

In an interim staff guidance released Feb. 17, the NRC describes the activities that companies can request in applications for limited work authorizations and combined licenses under the agency's new reactor licensing process.
