Clients Want Expert, Not High-Profile Attys, Report Says

Law360, New York (January 10, 2017, 5:27 PM EST) -- Status as a lawyer and success with clients may seem inextricably linked, but a report released Tuesday by London research firm Acritas said that clients favor lawyers much more for a few key abilities than for their stature or public profile.

The report, compiled over the last 18 months, analyzed more than 5,200 lawyers nominated by global clients, without any prompting by firms, as "stand-out lawyers" and the reasons given for their selection, like expertise and great service.
