Homeowners Sue TVA Over Toxic Ash Spill

Law360, New York (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Nearly 100 people have sued the Tennessee Valley Authority over damages they allegedly suffered from a billion-gallon spill of toxic fly ash from a landfill at a power plant near Kingston, Tenn.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the 91 plaintiffs allege that the TVA was negligent in allowing the spill to happen.
