Is Obama’s Climate Change Stance Changing?

Law360, New York (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- While President Obama has repeatedly stated that implementing a cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is a priority for his administration, to date, no details of his plan have been provided.

The Energy and Environment Agenda posted on the White House Web site simply states that Obama will “implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050.”

Interestingly, a more detailed plan was included as part of the campaign literature on the Obama for Change Web site.
