Lawyer In USPS Bias Suit Sent To Disciplinary Panel

Law360, New York (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has ordered a plaintiffs attorney to go before the court's disciplinary panel after the lawyer sought to withdraw as counsel to a group of postal employees in race discrimination cases just days after the government filed motions to dismiss the actions.

Judge John D. Bates of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said this week the conduct of Washington. D.C.-based attorney James Quincy Butler could warrant disciplinary action under the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct.
