DexCom Scores Stay, Partial Dismissal In Abbott Suit

Law360 (August 18, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- DexCom Inc. revealed Friday that it received a favorable ruling in a patent infringement dispute with rival Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. over technology related to glucose monitors used by diabetics.

The United States District Court for the District of Delaware granted DexCom’s motion to stay the case, pending reexamination of the four patents in question by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The court also dismissed a claim in Abott’s lawsuit.
