Dell Says 'Netbook' Generic, Wants Trademark Nixed

Law360, New York (February 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- After Psion Teklogix Inc. sent letters to computer manufacturers and Web sites asking them to stop using Psion's trademarked term “netbook” to refer to small, inexpensive computers, Dell Inc. has moved to cancel the trademark, arguing that "netbook" is now a generic term.
