Indirect Purchasers Seek Class Cert. In IPod Case

Law360, New York (February 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Plaintiffs in the consolidated antitrust class action against Apple Inc. who bought iPods from other retailers have asked the court to certify a class of indirect iPod purchasers.

In a motion filed Wednesday, the indirect purchasers asked the court to certify a nationwide class of iPod buyers who bought their iPods from any seller other than Apple itself, appoint the law firms Mehri & Skalet PLLC and Zeldes & Haeggquist LLP as co-lead counsel for the class, and select Stacie Somers as the named plaintiff....
