Bankrupt Louisiana Heart Hospital Says It Plans To Close

Law360, Wilmington (February 3, 2017, 8:37 PM EST) -- Louisiana Medical Center and Heart Hospital LLC told the Delaware bankruptcy court Friday that it plans to seek approval from Louisiana regulators to shut down before the end of February and is already planning to close its emergency room Sunday morning.

During a hearing in Wilmington, Louisiana Medical Center Chief Restructuring Officer Neil F. Luria said the debtor is planning to close by Feb. 15, but left the door open for that date to be pushed back if any emergencies or complications emerge in the facility.
