Transamerica Seeks Re-Exam Of Benefit Rider Patent

Law360 (February 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Less than two weeks after losing a trial in a separate case over a related patent, Transamerica Life Insurance Co. has asked a federal judge to stay a patent suit filed by Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. alleging that Transamerica sold retirement income benefit riders that infringe a Lincoln National patent.
