House New Dems Push For Bank, Insurance Reform

Law360 (February 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A coalition of 16 moderate “pro-growth” Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives has released a plan for regulatory reform of the nation's financial services system, including oversight of the insurance industry, that has won the approval of at least one insurance trade group.

On Thursday, the New Democrat Coalition's Financial Services Task Force unveiled its 21 principles to guide regulatory reform for the U.S. financial system to avoid another economic breakdown.
