BOEM To Offer 1.09M Acres In Alaska Offshore Drilling Sale

Law360, New York (February 27, 2017, 5:16 PM EST) -- The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on Friday unveiled its plan to offer 1.09 million acres in Cook Inlet off Alaska’s south central coast for offshore gas and oil development in a proposed lease sale this coming June.

The so-called Cook Inlet Oil and Gas Lease Sale 244 will present 224 federally owned blocks of water in Cook Inlet for lease, which stretch from Augustine Island in the south to Kalgin Island in the north, the BOEM said in a news release.
