DC Circ. Upholds FWS Decision To Delist Gray Wolf In Wyo.

Circuit on Friday reinstated the Fish and Wildlife Service’s decision to remove Endangered Species Act protections for the gray wolf in Wyoming, overturning a lower court judge that had found the state’s conservation plan wasn’t protective enough.

The Northern Rocky Mountain gray wolf was a protected species from 1973 until 2011, when the FWS proposed to delist it based on its recovery and Wyoming’s conservation management plan.
