Nautilus Cries Fraud In Heart Rate Monitor Patent Spat

Law360 (March 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Fitness equipment maker Nautilus Inc. has hit back in a long-running infringement suit by Biosig Instruments Inc., claiming the specialty exercise device manufacturer concealed prior art information about a heart monitor patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office during prosecution.

In its original response to the 2004 suit, Nautilus had argued in affirmative defenses that it did not infringe the patent and that the patent was invalid.
