4th Circ. Affirms Verdict Against Pfizer In FMLA Case

Law360, New York (March 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a jury verdict in favor of a man who claimed Pfizer Inc. fired him in retaliation for taking time off to adopt a child from Russia, but denied the man's request for additional damages.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Wednesday found James D. Dotson had submitted sufficient evidence for his claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act and affirmed the lower court's judgment in all respects except for its denial of prejudgment interest....
