Luxembourg Backs Stolt In Landmark Cartel Case

Law360 (August 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Although the U.S. Supreme Court has denied Stolt-Nielsen SA’s application for an injunction against government prosecution, the transport company has received support in its fight for amnesty from an unexpected source: the government of Luxembourg.

Luxembourg filed an amicus brief supporting Stolt’s petition of certiorari, the first time the country has ever filed a brief without the support of other countries.
