Law360, Washington (March 29, 2017, 4:57 PM EDT) -- Senate Democrats pushed further to block of the Tenth Circuit Judge Neil Gorsuch's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday, as more than half of their colleagues have said they would oppose his confirmation.
The caucus has come together in the days since Judge Gorsuch's confirmation hearing, according to Democratic leaders as a number of moderate Democrats have joined the calls to filibuster the nomination. Current U.S. Senate rules would require several Democrats to support his nomination, and more than half of the Senate's 46 Democrats have come out against his confirmation since it was announced in January.
