Mastiffs At Center Of IP, Antitrust Dogfight

Law360 (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has rebuffed the American Mastiff Breeders Council's claim that its trademark suit, which alleges that a breeder falsely marketed “maskless” dogs as American mastiffs, precludes the breeder's antitrust case alleging AMBC fixed puppy prices.

On Friday, U.S. Judge Edward Reed denied AMBC's motion to dismiss the antitrust suit filed by Craig Williamson, the owner of Circle W Mastiffs, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
