Jones Day Named Special Counsel In Tribune Ch. 11

Law360, New York (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Jones Day has been approved to serve as special counsel representing Tribune Co. in certain antitrust and commercial litigation matters as the beleaguered media giant restructures itself in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

In an order signed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Judge Kevin J. Carey granted the debtors’ motion to employ and retain Jones Day for certain antitrust and commercial litigation matters nunc pro tunc to Dec. 8, 2008, the date the debtors filed their Chapter 11 petitions.
