Renewable Energy To Be DOI’s 'Top Priority': Salazar

Law360 (March 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In his first official order, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has said the U.S. Department of the Interior will prioritize renewable energy development and reduce the backlog of renewable energy applications that piled up during the Bush administration.

On Wednesday, Salazar announced the creation of an energy and climate change task force within the DOI, which will map out the regions in the country with the most potential for renewable energy development.
