Seroquel MDL Judge Upholds Ban On Foreign Evidence

Law360, New York (March 11, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- AstraZeneca LP has prevailed in its battle to keep out evidence of overseas regulatory actions from upcoming trials in multidistrict U.S. litigation over the drugmaker's blockbuster anti-psychotic medication Seroquel.

Ruling from chambers on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Judge Anne Conway affirmed a magistrate judge's Jan. 30 order excluding the evidence, saying its value was no match for the jury confusion that would result from its inclusion.
