Intel Sues Patriot Scientific Over Chip Clock-Speed Patent

Law360, New York (February 9, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Chip maker Intel has filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, asking the court to declare that the company is not infringing on a microprocessor patent held by Patriot Scientific, the tiny San Diego company that has filed a string of lawsuits against Intel’s biggest customers.

The chip maker is seeking a court order stopping Patriot from suing the balance of Intel's customers, according to the lawsuit.
