British Airways, Others Demand BAA Breakup

Law360, New York (August 24, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- British Airways PLC has joined the call for a deeper look into dominant airports operator BAA, encouraging the U.K. Office of Fair Trading to refer its airports market study to the Competition Commission for further investigation.

On Thursday, British Airways, flanked by easyJet PLC and low-cost Irish airline Ryanair Holdings PLC, expressed its desire to see a dismantling of the airports group BAA Plc.
