Sprint Objections To Class Notice OK'd In Pay Suit

Law360 (March 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has sustained some objections raised by Sprint Nextel Corp. to the class notice proposed by plaintiffs in a certified class action claiming that the telecommunications giant has been underpaying sales commissions since Sprint's merger with Nextel in 2005.

Judge Kathryn H. Vratil of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas on Friday ordered some changes to the notice, including the removal of language about retaliation. The notice will now be sent to potential class members, and plaintiffs' attorneys estimated the class could...
