DOJ Raids Perrigo In Generic Drug Price-Fixing Probe

By Eric Kroh (May 3, 2017, 1:20 PM EDT) -- Generic-drug maker Perrigo Co. PLC said late Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Justice has carried out search warrants at its corporate offices, making the company the latest to be swept up in the agency's ongoing probe of pricing in the industry.

Perrigo did not say what drugs were the target of the DOJ's investigation, but the generic manufacturer has been accused of colluding with other pharmaceutical companies to artificially inflate prices for topical skin creams.

"As has been previously disclosed by a number of companies, the antitrust division has been looking at industrywide pricing practices," Perrigo said in the statement....
