Kirkland Partner Likely To Be Tapped For DOJ Criminal Chief

Law360, New York (May 4, 2017, 9:46 PM EDT) -- President Donald Trump is expected to nominate Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner Brian Benczkowski to lead the U.S. Department of Justice's Criminal Division, sources familiar with the nominations process have told Law360.

Benczkowski held high-level management positions in the DOJ during the George W. Bush administration and was Senate Judiciary Committee staff director for then-Sen. Jeff Sessions, who is now the U.S. attorney general.
