ARRA And Health Information Technology

Law360 (March 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provides a number of significant new opportunities for health care providers to gain financial support for the adoption of electronic health records, while also adding legal responsibilities in the area of health information technology (HIT).

The added financial support for HIT will go a long way toward making the exchange of electronic health information a reality and health care providers should evaluate these opportunities for financial support.
