Mesaba Creditors Want Permission To Prosecute Mair

Law360, New York (August 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mesaba Aviation Inc. is experiencing turbulence in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, now that its unsecured creditors are seeking court approval to prosecute claims against the regional carrier’s parent, Mair Holdings Inc.

The unsecured creditors committee said that it is ready to prosecute claims against Mair after a probe into transactions between the two companies revealed that, before its bankruptcy filing, Mesaba transferred significant amounts of funds to Mair, according to court documents filed on Thursday.
