Drugmaker Says Middleman Overbilled It For Services

By Rachel Graf (May 18, 2017, 5:13 PM EDT) -- A pharmacy benefit manager that agreed to purchase products from a dermatological drugmaker repeatedly overcharged the pharmaceutical company for certain related services, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in Pennsylvania federal court.

Aqua Pharmaceuticals LLC said an audit in 2016 and 2017 of Park Irmat Drug Corp. indicated the pharmacy benefit manager overbilled Aqua multiple times for fees related to the companies' dispensing agreement, which allowed Irmat to distribute Aqua products to customers with prescriptions.
