Suez And Gaz De France Give Only An Inch

Law360, New York (August 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the wake of the European Commission revealing antitrust concerns, Suez and Gaz de France remain hopeful that they can receive approval for the controversial energy company merger with only a few concessions, say insiders.

The two groups must respond by Friday to the E.C.'s objections to the deal, though the pair will not yet be required to submit a concrete proposal.
