Bodee Yanks Zencore Over Blood Pressure Worries

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bodee LLC has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of its Zencore Plus products after determining that the dietary supplement may pose a public health risk because it can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure in some people.

The Century City, Calif.-based company announced the recall on March 11, saying it had been informed by U.S. Food and Drug Administration representatives that a lab analysis had revealed that Zencore Plus samples contained benzamidenafil, which is a newly discovered phosphodiesterase Type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.
